Job Summary
Ramp Lead Agent leading the outbound bag room activities and the loading/unloading of luggage, freight, and cargo on/off commercial aircraft; operate motorized equipment; read load sheets, manifests, and routing tags; ensure load safety and compliance; supervise and train ramp staff during on-the-job and airline-specific training; adhere to safety, security, and company standards; heavy lifting up to 70 lbs; outdoor role with variable shifts and required pre-employment checks.
Required Qualifications
- Prior Ramp/Airline experience required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have high school diploma, GED or six months experience as a Ramp Agent
- Must pass all pre-employment testing, including a drug test
- Must be able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English
- Must Possess and maintains valid US driver's license with no violations over the past 5 years
- Capable of safely lifting up to 70 lbs. continuously
- Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including overtime, weekends and holidays
- Work is done outdoors, must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airport security badge
- Pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal
- Prior loading and unloading of heavy products or equipment (preferred)
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Ability to work at heights up to forty (40) feet
