Job Summary
Ramp Agent responsible for loading/unloading baggage and cargo, guiding aircraft to and from gates, and maintaining detailed records of shipped goods. Duties include moving baggage and cargo between aircraft, terminals, and air cargo facilities; operating motorized equipment; reading and interpreting weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage/cargo routing tags; and complying with safety, security, wellbeing, and compliance policies. Must lift up to 70 lbs, work outdoors in all weather, be available for variable shifts including overtime, weekends and holidays, possess a valid driver’s license, and have proficient English. Pre-employment drug testing is required; badges/seals must be obtained and maintained.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have high school diploma, GED or six months prior ramp agent work experience.
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing, including a drug test.
- Capable of safely lifting up to 70 lbs. continuously.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English proficiently.
- Must have a current driver’s license with no violations over the past 5 years
- Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including overtime, weekends and holidays.
- Work is done primarily outdoors. Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airports and Custom badges/seals.
- Prior ramp experience a plus.
