Job Summary
Ramp Agent responsible for providing ground support for inbound and outbound aircraft, including baggage handling, mail and freight handling, aircraft servicing, operating motorized equipment, and cleaning aircraft interiors. Duties include handling and care of baggage and mail, loading/unloading, aircraft deicing in some locations, guiding aircraft to gates, and ensuring safety and compliance with FAA/regulations. Requires strong English communication, customer service orientation, ability to pass background and drug tests, valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in various weather conditions. Shift is 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm; location Worcester, MA; on-site work. Training and performance responsibilities include accurate reporting, adherence to company and client procedures, and prioritizing safety and customer service.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Computer experience preferred
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have reliable telephone and transportation
- Must have valid driver's license
- Must be a citizen of the United States or possess the necessary authorization from the INS
- Must have the ability to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
- Must be able to verbally direct in English
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Must pass a Criminal Background check
- Must be willing and able to cope with a variety of non-routine situations (flight delays, weather, passenger assistance)
- Must be able to work in varied climatic conditions
- Must have a clear driving record
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs continually
- Must be able to sit, stand, lift and bend for extended periods
- Must be able to push or tow aircraft as required
- Must be willing to work in shifts including afternoons
- Must be willing and able to adhere to all FAA/Airline/Airport regulations
