Job Summary
Ramp Agent responsible for ground support for inbound and outbound aircraft, including baggage handling, mail and freight handling, aircraft servicing, driving motorized equipment, and cleaning of aircraft interiors. Duties include loading/unloading baggage and mail, transporting items to various airport locations, ensuring all ground handling aligns with customer and company specifications, and maintaining safety as a top priority. Responsibilities also cover assisting disabled passengers, occasional deicing, operating aircraft servicing equipment, facilitating safe aircraft movement, and completing reports and records. Requires adherence to FAA/airline/company regulations, ability to work in varied weather, pass drug and background checks, and communicate in English. Qualifications emphasize a high school diploma or equivalent, legal work authorization for the US, and valid driver’s license, with strong emphasis on safety, reading/writing English, and physical ability to perform heavy lifting and long shifts in an airport environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have valid driver's license
- Must be a citizen of the United States or possess necessary INS authorization
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Must pass a Criminal Background check
- Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
- Must be able to verbally direct in English
- Must have reliable telephone and transportation
- Must have a clear driving record
