Job Summary
Unload and load luggage, freight, and cargo on and off commercial aircraft in the outbound bag room and baggage claim areas. Operate motorized equipment and small specialized commercial vehicles while lifting, moving, stacking, and transporting 70 lbs. of cargo between aircraft, terminals, and facilities. Perform safe cabin cleaning by removing and replacing blankets, ensuring solvents are stored correctly, and depositing soiled linens into laundry bins. Conduct physical searches of aircraft interiors and exteriors to detect prohibited articles and unlawful interferences. Provide ramp guard services to ensure only authorized personnel service the aircraft, adhering to TSA, airline, and federal security mandates. Maintain a secure work environment in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have high school diploma, GED or six months prior ramp agent work experience
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing, including a drug test
- Capable of safely lifting up to 70 lbs. continuously
- Must be able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English proficiently
- Must have current driver's license with no violations over the past 5 years
- Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including overtime, weekends and holidays
- Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airports and Custom badges/seals
