Job Summary
The Ramp Agent I - Cargo provides ramp, warehouse, and customer service support for aircraft operations. Primary responsibilities include marshaling aircraft, operating ground service equipment, loading/unloading cargo and baggage, and maintaining safety on the ramp. Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license and should have relevant certifications. Experience in the airline or logistics industries is preferred. The role requires physical capability to lift and move heavy items, and the ability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Must be able to secure and maintain GSP airfield driver privileges.
- Must have or be willing and able to obtain IATA DG Categories 7/8/9 certification, US Customs access authorization, ACISP cargo acceptance certification.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the airline, logistics, and warehousing industries preferred.
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate powered industrial equipment.
- Skills in prioritization, organization, verbal communications and interpersonal relations.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to complete and pass a background investigation, drug screening, and physical examination as per Federal, State, and GSP Airport District requirements.
