Job Summary
Load and unload baggage and cargo, operate motorized service vehicles, guide and park aircraft, perform cabin maintenance, and de-ice aircraft. Work as a team to provide excellent customer service and meet corporate objectives in a fast-paced outdoor airport environment. Successfully complete the Ramp Agent training course before reporting to the General Manager. Handle objects up to 70 pounds and assist passengers with disabilities. Requires a valid driver's license, clear driving record, and drug screen. All shifts including weekends, nights, holidays, and irregular shifts. Starting rate is $18.00/hourly with paid training, 401(k), and family travel on the American Airlines network.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of training course
- Ability to meet company goals and customer expectations in a high energy environment
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask
- Valid driver's license
- Clear driving record
- 10-year Criminal History Records Check
- Drug screen
- Proof of high school or GED completion
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Ability to lift objects up to 70 pounds
- Ability to assist passengers with disabilities, including pushing wheelchairs
- All shifts including weekends, nights, holidays and/or irregular shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Previous airline experience
- Previous employment as a front-line customer service provider
- Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs
