Job Summary
Unload and load luggage, freight, and cargo on and off commercial aircraft in the outbound bag room and baggage claim area. Operate motorized equipment and small specialized commercial vehicles while maintaining safe and secure work environments. Conduct physical searches of aircraft interiors and exteriors to detect prohibited articles. Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material labels, and manifests. Perform heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, and frequent kneeling in confined locations. Requires valid US driver's license, high school diploma, and ability to lift 70 lbs repeatedly. Shifts include M-S days and nights.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid US driver's license
- High school diploma, GED or six months prior ramp agent work experience
- Comfortable lifting 70lbs repetitively
- Pass FBI background
- Obtain US Customs Seal
