Railroad Laborer (Trackman) I

Job Summary
Carry and place track materials using standard Railroad maintenance tools, install tracks and embankments, and perform maintenance activities such as changing rails, ties, and adjusting switches. Operate picks, shovels, spike mauls, and specialized hydraulic and air power tools for extended periods. Respond to after-hour and weekend callouts to repair derailment damage and assist in re-railing train cars. Adhere to company and federal safety rules, wearing required equipment and acting on safety concerns. Must be 18 or older, pass background checks and drug screenings, and possess the physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in all weather conditions. This evergreen role supports our ongoing talent pipeline for American Track's field operations team.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must pass all required assessments/trainings
- Must be willing to submit to a background check
- Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen
- Must be willing to submit to random drug tests
- Willing and able to travel to various job sites
- Willing and able to work overnight stays
- Willing and able to work with short notice mobilization

Desired Qualifications
