Job Summary
Inspect intermodal units arriving and departing the railroad facility, checking unit numbers, trailer, and container conditions for damage, and ensuring security seals are intact. Document any damage with timeliness and accuracy, communicating findings via appropriate forms or computer systems to a direct supervisor. Maintain compliance with HAZMAT and OSHA regulations by reporting incidents immediately and wearing required PPE. Keep the inspection area clean by picking up debris and maintaining a safe distance from moving vehicles. Perform all duties in outdoor conditions including rain, snow, ice, and noise, while adhering to company policies and procedures. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license, pass a 7-year background check and drug test, and live within a 45-minute commute of the Oakland location.

- Must be able to pass a 7-year background check and a drug test
- Applicants for the Gate Inspector position must meet the general requirements for employment with the company, according to the Company hiring process
- APPLICANTS MUST currently live within a 45 minute commute of business location
- OUT OF AREA candidates and/or those requiring a relocation will NOT be considered
- You will be an employee of Pacific Trailer Repair Services and not an employee of the Railroad
