Job Summary
Railcar Mechanic responsible for mechanical repairs to railcars in a safety-conscious, detail-oriented role. Responsibilities include inspecting railcars for damage/fatigue, identifying repairs per Road & Rail Services guidelines and AAR specifications, and performing authorized repairs. Must have a strong mechanical background with welding experience highly recommended; able to use basic hand tools and operate various equipment. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather, bend, squat, twist, and walk for entire shifts, and have or obtain a valid state driver’s license if required for equipment operation.
