Job Summary
Railcar Repair Technician responsible for interpreting work orders and blueprints to perform repairs on railcars, welding, cutting, and gouging with emphasis on safety and quality. Works on heavy equipment and tracks; adheres to ARS Environmental Health and Safety policies and ensures AAR, ARS, and customer quality standards. On-site role with Monday–Friday day shift (some weekends). Requires ability to read schematics, basic mechanical skills, and willingness to undergo drug screening, background checks, and PPE requirements. Required Qualifications
- Experience is a plus but not required; paid on-the-job training available
- May require a valid Driver’s License and/or a valid TWIC card depending on work location
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Wear all required PPE and pass any required medical exams
- Speak, read, write fluent English
- Regular on-site attendance and punctuality required
- Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus
