Job Summary
Interpret job work orders and follow blueprints to perform required repairs on railcars, weld, cut, and gouge using basic mechanical skills. Notify supervisors of any materials or equipment needed to ensure task completion while strictly adhering to safety rules, environmental policies, and quality assurance standards. Maintain a clean work area and wear all required PPE. Some weekends may be required in addition to the Monday through Friday day shift.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams
- Speak, write, read fluent English
- Regular on-site attendance and punctuality
- valid Driver's License
- valid TWIC card
