Job Summary
Interpret job work orders and follow blueprints to perform required repairs on railcars, weld, cut, and gouge using basic mechanical skills. Notify supervisors of any materials or equipment needed to ensure task completion. Adhere to all safety rules, maintain a clean work area, and comply with ARS Environmental Health and Safety Policies while meeting AAR, ARS, and customer quality assurance standards. Complete any other duties as assigned. This role requires regular on-site attendance, punctuality, and a valid driver's license or TWIC card depending on location. Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
- Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required
- Speak, write, read fluent English
Desired Qualifications
- Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available
- May require a valid Driver's License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
- Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus
