Job Summary
Interpret job work orders and follow blueprints to perform required repairs on railcars, utilizing mechanical skills to weld, cut, and gouge. Notify supervisors of any materials or equipment needed to ensure task completion while adhering to all safety rules, environmental policies, and quality assurance standards for AAR, ARS, and customers. Maintain a clean work area and wear all required PPE. Monday through Friday day shift with some weekend requirements; regular on-site attendance and punctuality are mandatory. Valid driver's license or TWIC card may be required depending on location. Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams
- Speak, write, read fluent English
- Regular on-site attendance and punctuality
- valid Driver's License
- valid TWIC card
