Job Summary
Interpret job work orders and follow blueprints to perform required repairs on heavy equipment, railcars, and tracks. Utilize mechanical skills to weld, cut, and gouge while notifying supervisors of necessary materials. Adhere to all safety rules, environmental policies, and quality assurance standards including AAR and ARS protocols. Maintain a clean work area and wear required PPE. Schedule includes Monday through Friday day shifts with some weekends required. Valid driver's license or TWIC card may be needed depending on location.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams
- Speak, write, read fluent English
- Regular on-site attendance and punctuality
- valid Driver's License
- valid TWIC card
