Job Summary
Interpret job work orders and follow blueprints to perform required repairs on railcars, utilizing mechanical skills to weld, cut, and gouge equipment. Notify supervisors of any materials or tools needed to ensure task completion while maintaining a clean work area. Adhere to all safety rules and ARS Environmental Health and Safety Policies, ensuring AAR, ARS, and customer quality assurance standards are met. Complete any other duties as assigned. This full-time role includes Monday through Friday day shifts with some weekend requirements. Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams
- Speak, write, read fluent English
- Regular on-site attendance and punctuality
- valid Driver's License
- valid TWIC card
