Job Summary
Railcar Repair Technician responsible for conducting all aspects of repair and maintenance on tank cars, inspecting for compliance with AAR rules, performing repairs, handling invoicing and work orders, maintaining certifications, and delivering strong customer relations while working safely as part of a team. Requires high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, ability to use hand tools, capability to pass physical exam, drug screening, and background check, and to lift up to 50 pounds. Position offers benefits from day one and a pay range of $23.60-$30.64 per hour. Role is FULL_TIME, based in Port Lavaca, TX, US.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to use hand tools (such as pipe wrenches, pry bars, wrenches, ratchets)
- Ability to pass company physical exam, drug screening and background check
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights
- Must demonstrate interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team
- Must follow safety procedures and maintain required certifications
