Job Summary
The role entails inspecting railcars, performing repairs including welding and fabrication, and executing program work on a work track. The technician will be responsible for railcar part changes and must possess a strong mechanical inclination and good spatial awareness.
Required Qualifications
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Mechanically inclined
- Use of oxygen/acetylene (propane) torch
- MIG and stick welding
- Good spatial awareness
- Ability to notice something out of place
- Good time management
- Reliable (able to work a few weekends and possibly a holiday)
- Able to lift upwards of 80lbs (short amount of time)
- Walk up to 10 miles a day
- Willingness to never stop learning
