Job Summary
Interpret job work orders and follow blueprints to perform required repairs on railcars, tracks, and heavy equipment. Utilize mechanical skills to weld, cut, and gouge while notifying supervisors of needed materials. Adhere to all safety rules, ARS Environmental Health and Safety Policies, and quality assurance standards for AAR, ARS, and customers. Maintain a clean work area and wear all required PPE. Complete additional duties as assigned. Valid driver's license or TWIC card may be required. Regular on-site attendance and punctuality are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams
- Speak, write, read fluent English
- Regular on-site attendance and punctuality
- valid Driver's License
- valid TWIC card
