Job Summary
Interpret job work orders and follow blueprints to perform required repairs on railcars, utilizing mechanical skills to weld, cut, and gouge. Notify supervisors of any materials or equipment needed to ensure task completion while adhering to all safety rules, keeping work areas clean and complying with environmental health policies. Maintain AAR, ARS, and customer quality assurance standards during operations. Schedule includes Monday through Friday day shifts with some weekend requirements. Valid driver's license or TWIC card may be required depending on location. Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams
- Speak, write, read fluent English
- Regular on-site attendance and punctuality
- valid Driver's License
- valid TWIC card
