Job Summary
Interpret job work orders and follow blueprints to perform required repairs on railcars, weld, cut, and gouge using basic mechanical skills. Notify supervisors of any materials or equipment needed to ensure task completion while maintaining a clean work area and complying with all safety policies. Ensure AAR, ARS, and customer quality assurance standards are met and complete any other duties as assigned. Monday through Friday day shift with some weekends required. Valid driver's license and/or TWIC card may be needed depending on location.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams
- Speak, write, read fluent English
- Regular on-site attendance and punctuality
- valid Driver's License
- valid TWIC card
