Job Summary
Interpret job work orders and follow blueprints to perform required repairs on railcars, utilizing mechanical skills to weld, cut, and gouge. Notify supervisors of needed materials or equipment to ensure task completion while maintaining a clean work area and adhering to all safety and environmental policies. Ensure AAR, ARS, and customer quality assurance standards are met and complete any other duties as assigned. A valid driver's license or TWIC card may be required, with on-the-job training provided for those without prior experience. Regular on-site attendance and punctuality are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams
- Speak, write, read fluent English
- Regular on-site attendance and punctuality
- valid Driver's License
- valid TWIC card
