Job Summary
Inspect railcars and components thoroughly while interpreting drawings, weld, and nondestructive testing symbols. Stay updated on FRA, AAR, customer, and company policies to ensure workmanship meets quality and regulatory standards. Assist with root-cause investigations, complete Daily JSA and Confined Space Entry Permits, and document inspections with reports as required. Communicate effectively with internal and external customers and notify of needed materials or equipment. Follow safety rules, maintain clean work areas, and wear all required PPE. Perform other duties as assigned by Inspection Manager. Regular on-site attendance and punctuality are required. Monday through Friday day shift with some weekends required.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams
- Speak, write, read fluent English
- Regular on-site attendance and punctuality
- valid Driver's License
- valid TWIC card
