Job Summary
Oversee rail yard and shop construction scope, schedule, budget, and change management to deliver a functional and financially viable installation to required quality. Manage each project stage to meet CM and GC commitments on time and within budget. Review contract documents to confirm deliverables and resource requirements, analyze work plans and budgets, participate in internal and client-facing meetings, monitor scope creep, initiate change management when needed, negotiate solutions with the GC, maintain comprehensive documentation, and participate in monthly project reviews and project close-out processes. Requires collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, strong problem-solving, and effective communication to ensure client expectations and contractual obligations are met.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture or other relevant area of study
- 6 years of relevant experience in transit and rail projects using Design-Build (DB) or Design-Bid-Build (DBB) project delivery methods
- Relevant transit and rail construction experience including contract management, site observation and interaction with multidiscipline stakeholders
- Proficiency in project website software such as Trimble Unity Construct, Procore, Bluebeam or other software packages
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication; good organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- CCM or PMP certification
- Professional Engineer license
- Advanced degree(s)
- Experience in US based public rail and transit industry
- Knowledge of O&M environments within transit agencies
- Familiar with procurement, security and safety assurance, quality management
- Able to work with minimum supervision and strong problem identification and resolution skills
