Job Summary
Transfer hazardous and non-hazardous products between railcars and tanker trucks; climb heights of 15 to 20 feet to inspect, connect, and seal tank cars and trailers; inspect railcars, trucks, hoses, and transfer equipment; operate site vehicles and equipment such as golf carts, pumps, heaters, and small tractors; perform basic preventive maintenance including oil changes, batteries, starters, and clutches; complete hazardous waste transfer logs, facility logs, and manifests; prepare products for transfer including heating, sparging, and sampling; maintain housekeeping standards; participate in safety audits; and follow all federal, site, and company safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
- Willingness to work around hazardous materials (training provided)
- Strong attention to detail
- Safety-first mindset
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to climb heights of 15 to 20 feet
- Ability to walk/stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs, push/pull/heavy equipment as needed
- Ability to wear respiratory protection and hazmat suits as required
