Job Summary
Rail Transload Operator responsible for safe and efficient movement of rail cars and locomotives, loading/unloading aggregate materials, and adhering to safety programs (including Goal Zero). Responsibilities include operating locomotives, performing daily locomotive inspections, communicating with crew by radio/signals, offloading rail cars when needed, and supporting site operations across the Greater Edmonton Region. Requires CROR qualification and a valid Alberta Class 5 license; travel to Windfall site may be required. Work is in person with irregular hours, overtime, and weekends; includes pre-employment safety requirements and potential travel between locations.
Required Qualifications
- CROR qualification is a requirement
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of slow Speed Control and Distributed Power preferred
- Extensive knowledge and experience working in the Rail Industry as a Locomotive Operator
