Job Summary
Diagnose and repair forklifts, company vehicles, and the hostler fleet while maintaining the hostler fleet. Maintain preventative mindsets for mechanical systems including air, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel components. Assist in other areas as needed by managers. Applicants must possess verifiable mechanical experience, a valid driver's license, and own tools (yearly allowance provided). Candidates require IPCS test and drug screening completion. Applicants with diesel experience are also considered. This role is with the Teamsters Union 317 at the CSX Syracuse rail terminal in East Syracuse, NY.
Required Qualifications
- 2-year experience in the mechanical field
- preventative maintenance minded
- own tools
- experience and knowledge working with Air, Electrical, Hydraulic, and Diesel systems and components
- valid driver's license
- verifiable mechanical experience
- IPCS test(physical)
- Drug screening
- Required to join local union
