Job Summary
Review track lists to identify and organize railcars for spotting, separating, loading, or outbound movement. Ensure railcars are properly connected and secured by setting brakes and verifying couplings. Separate loaded cars for shipment from preloaded or empty railcars. Weigh inbound and outbound cars to confirm compliance with weight limits. Perform additional duties as needed, including supporting basic maintenance activities, to ensure safe and efficient rail operations. Requires a valid Driver's License, fluent English, and ability to work rotating 8-hour shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Based in Ticonderoga, NY, with commuting options from Port Henry, Crown Point, Schroon Lake, NY, and Fair Haven and Orwell, VT.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- 18 years or older
- Legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Wear all required PPE without restriction
- Pass any required medical exams
- Speak, write, read fluent English
- Regular on-site attendance
- Punctuality
