Job Summary
Lead development and implementation of rail safety accreditation strategies and plans for The Wave and Logan to Gold Coast Rail projects; manage accreditation activities; oversee integration of safety management system requirements; work with project managers, Rail Safety colleagues, and regulators to meet legislative obligations; build and maintain productive relationships with internal teams, contractors, regulator representatives and other rail operators; monitor safety performance, provide reporting and recommendations to drive continuous improvement; demonstrate strong planning, communication, and problem-solving to manage accreditation timelines and interfaces with other operators; bring extensive rail safety knowledge, stakeholder engagement skills, and program/change management experience to ensure safety objectives are achieved across complex project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of rail safety management principles
- Rail safety legislation
- Ability to apply risk-based approaches in large/complex environments
- Experience with program and change management
- Experience in risk management and reporting of safety, compliance and performance risks
- Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and negotiation skills
- Leadership and team collaboration capabilities
- Ability to coordinate management systems and improve efficiency
