Job Summary
Rail Operative to operate, supervise, and maintain rail-related plant and equipment; duties include loading/unloading trains and wagons, inspecting wagons and rail freight, ensuring safety and compliance with site procedures, maintaining records, conducting routine inspections and minor maintenance, and coordinating with internal teams/subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient rail operations.
Required Qualifications
- GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)
- EPIC and NVQ in mobile/static plant operation (desirable)
- Safety Track Passport (preferred)
