Job Summary

Conduct RAI-MDS assessments for assigned residents in alignment with CIHI standards and Bethany Care policies. Document comprehensive resident data, including 24-hour reports and care plans, while communicating changes during Interdisciplinary Team meetings. Act as an advocate for resident rights and collaborate with Health Care Aides to ensure documentation accuracy. Provide coaching to unit staff on RAI initiatives and identify education needs. Complete all quarterly, annual, and significant change assessments with identified residents and family members. Work days from 0745-1600 in a physically demanding environment at Bethany Collegeside in Red Deer.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of Licensed Practical Nurse program
  • Completion of all RAI training modules
  • Score of 90% or higher on yearly RAI competency exam
  • At least 5 years' of recent work experience with seniors and/or dependent adults in long term care
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing with CLPNA
  • Able to work effectively in a physically and mentally demanding environment
  • Must demonstrate an acceptable level of reading, writing and comprehension of English language skills
  • Strong observation, assessment, communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
  • Highly proficient with Point Click Care
  • Current CPR
  • Must obtain a Criminal Background Check
  • Must provide proof of all mandatory immunizations
  • Must be available for Days (0745-1600) Shift per Cycle: 16 x 7.75 hour shift in a 4 week cycle
