Job Summary
Monitor all deliveries, analyze invoices, and inspect products for quality, temperature, and condition. Receive, open, unpack, and stock new or transferred restaurant supplies to appropriate shelves, racks, tables, and service stations. Maintain receiving logs by tracking all deliveries and missing items, and perform proper rotation of all food and beverage products. Take inventory to identify items to be reordered or replenished. Clean and maintain storage and delivery areas, ensuring all kitchen and dining room equipment is clean, sanitary, and in good repair.
Required Qualifications
- Basic math skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
- Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Must have strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
- Must be able to stand and walk for the entire length of the shift
- Must be able to reach, pull, push, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must be able to lift or move up to 10 pounds
- Must be able to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- One to three months of previous stock clerk/steward or related experience
