Job Summary
Perform prescribed radiographic imaging procedures with independent judgment, analyzing results to resolve image quality issues by repositioning patients or repeating scans. Review patient history and physician orders, educating patients on procedures to ensure cooperation. When ordered, prepare and administer contrast media while monitoring patient status and reporting changes. Prepare equipment, select exposure factors, and implement safety standards including quality control and malfunction troubleshooting. Maintain compliance with HIPAA, criminal background checks, and data security guidelines. Requires ARRT certification within six months and CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- six months to one year related experience and/or training
- equivalent education and experience
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Radiography certification
- CPR – American Heart Association Act 34
- Criminal Background Clearance Certificate Act 33
- Child Abuse Clearance Certificate Act 73
- FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- HIPAA compliance
- adherence to applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations
- adherence to company policies and training requirements
