Job Summary
Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely to maintain diagnostic image quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA). Maintain infection-control standards; obtain clinical history and verify patient identifiers; explain procedures using AIDET; ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety. Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol with proper venipuncture and sterile technique; position patients and apply markers and shielding. Review images for diagnostic acceptability and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers/retrieval as needed. Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, assist with department workflow, transportation, and regulatory compliance. Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography); BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association
