Radiology Technologist - Urgent Care - Timberlake

Job Summary

Perform digital X-ray studies on patients per provider orders, including proper positioning, immobilization, and radiation safety protocols. Set up immobilization equipment, document patient encounters in the Electronic Medical Record, and select appropriate technical factors. Collect patient specimens, run point-of-care lab tests, and maintain sterile technique to prevent cross-contamination. Order supplies, dispose of contaminated materials, and handle patient registration, scheduling, phone triage, cash handling, and scribing duties as needed. Travel to off-site locations for BSMH providers or adjust work hours per manager direction. Shifts are 36 hours weekly in days/evenings. The role supports urgent care services for adolescents, infants, adults, and geriatrics in a high-volume environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • State Licensure (if job performed in Virginia)
  • BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association

Desired Qualifications

  • State Licensure (unless required by the state where the job is being performed)
  • Associate's from an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) accredited institute
  • 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care
  • Experience with Radiology Information System
  • EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Picture archiving communication system (PACS)
  • 1 year of Medical Assisting experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaboratively work with patients, families and teams within a high-volume environment
  • Strong attention to details
  • Ability to multitask without prior instruction or direction
