Job Summary
Perform digital X-ray studies on patients per provider orders, including proper positioning, immobilization, and radiation protection. Set up supportive equipment, document encounters in the Electronic Medical Record, and select technical factors to safeguard patients and equipment. Collect specimens, run point-of-care lab tests, and maintain sterile technique to prevent cross-contamination. Report equipment malfunctions immediately and handle administrative duties such as supply ordering, patient registration, scheduling, phone triage, cash handling, and scribing as needed. Schedule weekly hours of 24 across days and evenings in the Urgent Care department.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification and registration
- State Licensure (unless required by the state where the job is being performed)
- BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association certification
- Associate's degree from an ARRT accredited institute
Desired Qualifications
- State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed)
- 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care
- Experience with Radiology Information System
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training
- Picture archiving communication system (PACS)
