Radiology Technologist - Urgent Care - Milford

Job Summary
Performs provider-ordered digital X-ray studies, positions and handles patients with safety and professionalism, and documents encounters in EMR. Determines proper technical factors, sets up immobilization equipment, and ensures radiation protection. May travel to other facilities and assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling, registrations, and scribing as needed. Requires ARRT certification and an associate's degree; 1 year of radiation-safety/patient-care experience and familiarity with RIS/EHR/PACS are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) (required)
- State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed)
- Education: Associate's from an ARRT accredited institute (preferred)
- Experience: 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care (preferred)
- Experience with Radiology Information System (preferred)
- Training EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred)
- Picture archiving communication system (PACS) (preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Demonstrates knowledge of patient age groups and safety considerations
