Job Summary
Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiography and related procedures across Pediatric locations with travel to multiple sites up to ~50% of time. Responsibilities include patient identification, reviewing orders and history, administering contrast as ordered, ensuring proper coding/tracking/charging of exams, operating complex imaging equipment, and communicating clearly with patients to alleviate fears. Requires ARRT certification or eligibility and completion within 6 months, BLS/CPR within 30 days, FBI clearance renewals, and compliance with applicable Acts. Candidates with active ARRT and 1 year of experience preferred. Locations include multiple Children’s Hospital facilities in the Pittsburgh area; role involves rotating day/evening shifts with no major holidays or overnight shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or verification from ARRT-approved school of completion of program and scheduled graduation date
- ARRT Certificate or registry eligible
- Must obtain ARRT Certificate within 6 months of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required within 30 days of hire
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewals
