Job Summary
Operates radiology equipment to perform diagnostic radiologic procedures as prescribed by physicians, selecting appropriate technique and settings, developing and implementing procedure/treatment plans, and documenting outcomes in accordance with hospital policies. Maintains radiology equipment and work areas, participates in performance-improvement activities, and ensures patient and staff safety. Requires ARRT radiography certification (registered or pending) and BLS, with state licensure as required. Associates degree in radiography preferred. Based in Tupelo, MS, with hospital-wide responsibilities and adherence to established protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Radiology Technology Program
- Registered by ARRT in Radiography (ARRT(R)) or new graduate waiting to take the registry
- BLS Certification within 14 days of hire; state license as required
- Associates degree in related field (preferred)
- Demonstrates understanding of Radiologic principles/theory; ability to select appropriate technique and positioning; ability to receive and follow written and oral instructions; ability to plan and organize work
