Job Summary
Check rooms daily for adequate stock levels and update supply lists. Confirm patient identity with approved identifiers and prepare patients for procedures, verifying pregnancy and informed consent statuses. Assess contraindications and determine contrast agent type and dose based on medical status. Provide clear procedure information to patients and families. Maintain current knowledge of equipment, materials, and processes while applying ALARA principles to minimize exposure. Work independently to perform routine and complex procedures, accurately demonstrating anatomy and pathology skills. Serve as an educational resource, document radiation exposure and incidents, and report equipment issues to Bio-Med. Consult with radiologists and medical physicists regarding image quality. Requires R-ARRT and CMRT certification with three years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Technical diploma from a formal diagnostic radiology program
- R-ARRT and CMRT certification
- 3 years' radiology experience
- Works well in a fast-paced setting
- Integrates scientific knowledge, technical skills, patient interaction, and compassionate care
