Job Summary
Perform diversified clinical patient care, technical, and related duties within assigned modality under supervision. Conduct patient assessments, correlate clinical findings with exam requests, and document all data within the EHR. Educate patients, position them, and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies. Identify, prepare, and administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam. Select technical factors to produce quality images, evaluate images for technical quality, and apply ALARA principles to minimize exposure. Assist physicians in performing procedures. This evening shift role at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA, includes weekend and holiday rotation. Candidates must hold current RT licensure in Massachusetts or Rhode Island, complete an accredited radiologic technology program, and possess primary ARRT certification and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
- Attainment of primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography within one year of eligibility
- Current RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
- Every other weekend rotation schedule
