Job Summary
Perform prescribed radiographic imaging procedures requiring independent judgment, including positioning patients, selecting exposure factors, and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions. Analyze results to identify quality issues and take corrective action, such as repositioning or repeating procedures. Enter, transmit, and report scan results while reviewing patient history and physician orders. Educate patients on procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation, and when ordered, prepare and administer contrast media or medications while monitoring patient status. Prepare equipment and supplies, implement safety standards, and perform quality control checks. Maintain compliance with HIPAA, criminal background clearance, and CPR requirements. Sign on bonus eligible with a three-year commitment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- six months to one year related experience and/or training
- equivalent education and experience
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Radiography certification
- CPR – American Heart Association Act 34
- Criminal Background Clearance Certificate Act 33
- Child Abuse Clearance Certificate Act 73
- FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- HIPAA compliance
- adherence to applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations
- adherence to company policies and training requirements
