Job Summary
Perform imaging on all general radiographic equipment under radiologist supervision, utilizing RIS/PACS and HIS for proper patient exam recording and result dissemination. Execute appropriate scanning protocols across qualified areas, including portable fluoroscopy, operating room procedures, and expanding skills into Interventional Radiology, Mammography, CT, MRI, and Bone Density. Recognize general radiography anatomy and provide service excellence while complying with hospital policies. Maintain competencies in certified modalities and accommodate scheduling flexibility to support patient flow. Requires current state R.T. license, ARRT certification, and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have completed an approved and accredited Radiology Technology program
- Recent, up to one year, hospital related experience
- Digital Imaging and post processing PACS experience
- Portable and in department fluoroscopy procedures
- Operating Room procedures
- Current state R.T. license required
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association
- Must obtain 24 ECE credits, in a two-year period, for re-certification and licensure
- Completion of endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification
- ARRT Certified
- Ability to maintain competencies in all certified modalities
- Willingness to accommodate scheduling flexibility to support staffing patterns that meet patient flow
- Knowledge and ability to provide care based on physical and psychosocial development and safety issues related to patients of all age groups, including infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric
- Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills
