Job Summary
Radiology Technologist performs imaging across general radiographic equipment with opportunities to expand into Interventional Radiology, Mammography, CT, MRI, and Bone Density. Responsible for appropriate scanning and imaging protocols, recognizing general radiography anatomy, providing service excellence, and using RIS/PACS/HIS for recording and dissemination of exams. Requires completion of an approved radiology technology program, state RT license, ARRT certification, and BLS; willingness to maintain competencies across modalities and adapt to scheduling to support patient flow. The role emphasizes competency in imaging modalities, patient safety across age groups, and basic computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- completed radiology technology program
- Current state R.T. license
- ARRT Certification
- BLS Certification
- must obtain 24 ECE credits within two years for recertification
- de-escalation and restraint program certification within 3 months of hire
- recent hospital experience
- digital imaging and PACS experience
- portable and in-department fluoroscopy
- operating room procedures
