Job Summary
Administer x-rays to various anatomical regions to produce clinically diagnostic images for newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Operate x-ray equipment, develop films, and prepare rooms for radiological procedures. Maintain current registry eligibility through the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and hold valid BLS certification. Possess full range of motion to pass the basic fitness test, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Work as a PRN role requiring effective communication with patients, families, hospital staff, and physicians.
Required Qualifications
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or registry eligible
- If registry eligible, must be a graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology and must be registered within one year of hire date
- Registry must be current and updated before the expiration date
- Current BLS certification through The American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Ability to effectively deal with patients, families, hospital staff and physicians
- Excellent computer, interpersonal and communication skills
- Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include standing, bending, stooping and sitting for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
