Job Summary
Administer x-rays to various anatomical regions to produce clinically diagnostic images for newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Operate x-ray equipment, develop film, and prepare rooms for radiological procedures. Maintain current registry status with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or complete required graduate program coursework within one year of hire. Hold valid BLS certification through The American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Demonstrate ability to effectively interact with patients, families, hospital staff, and physicians while meeting essential physical requirements including lifting up to 30 pounds. Work full-time shifts from Friday 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday 12:00 PM to 12:30 AM.
Required Qualifications
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or registry eligible
- If registry eligible, must be a graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology and must be registered within one year of hire date
- Registry must be current and updated before the expiration date
- Current BLS certification through The American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Ability to effectively deal with patients, families, hospital staff and physicians
- Excellent computer, interpersonal and communication skills
- Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include standing, bending, stooping and sitting for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
