Job Summary
Perform x-ray procedures using fixed and mobile equipment across the Main Campus and associated imaging facilities to diagnose disease processes. Provide service in high acuity, surgical, and less acute outpatient areas while ensuring patient safety, infection control, and timely transport. Participate in training student technologists and assist leadership with process improvement and data collection for HCAPS scores. Maintain competency in all assigned units and report potential hazards to Radiology leadership. Complete mandatory educational assignments and serve as a department resource for continuing education.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate
- Graduate of a 2 year accredited Radiology Technology program
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) - State Board of Healing Arts for Kansas locations only within 90 Days
- Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Experience in high acuity areas
- Experience in surgical areas
- Experience in less acute out-patient customers
- Competence in the use of all x-ray equipment both fixed and mobile
- Ability to provide x-ray service throughout the department
- Ability to utilize computer systems to perform patient testing and to retrieve data related to monitoring of quality and performance needs
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department
