Job Summary
Perform x-ray procedures using fixed and mobile equipment to diagnose disease processes across the Main Campus and associated imaging facilities. Provide timely patient care, including transport, while adhering to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards. Participate in training student technologists and assist leadership with process improvement and hazard reporting. Maintain competency in high acuity, surgical, and outpatient areas through mandatory educational assignments.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate
- Graduate of a 2 year accredited Radiology Technology program
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) - State Board of Healing Arts for Kansas locations only within 90 Days
- Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Competence in the use of all x-ray equipment both fixed and mobile
- Experience in high acuity areas
- Experience in surgical areas
- Experience in less acute out-patient customers
- Ability to provide x-ray service throughout the department
- Ability to utilize computer systems to perform patient testing and to retrieve data related to monitoring of quality and performance needs
