Job Summary
Radiology Technologist I provides diagnostic-quality radiographic imaging while prioritizing patient safety, comfort, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include independent performance of radiographic procedures, adherence to ALARA guidelines and participation in Image Gently/Image Wisely programs, patient verification with two identifiers, preparing patients, and documenting images in PACS/RIS. Requires ARRT certification, state license, and BCLS; 0-1 years clinical experience. Must maintain infection control standards, operate radiology equipment, support EHR/RIS systems, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams. Role is PRN with varied shifts and part-time status, with emphasis on accuracy, patient care, and adherence to HIPAA and departmental policies.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification required
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire required
